A Whole Lot of Sketches - Third Edition, or the Harley Quinn Edition

Classic Harley, done in marker
Like before, here's something of a sketch dump full of Harley Quinn's. As before, these are all in various stages of completion...and various stages of being good.

A Whole Lot of Sketches - Second Edition

It's been a while since I've posted some sketches, so I thought I'd do something of a sketch dump. Below are a bunch of sketches in various stages of completion. See them after the jump.

Pirate Girl

After tackling the Gotham City Sirens and the Suicide Squad version of Harley, I wanted to do something different. This pirate girl was the result. She may not be anything close to historically accurate, but she sure was fun to draw.

Harley Quinn (Suicide Squad)

I don't care what anyone says, I liked Suicide Squad. In large part, that's because Margot Robbie was so freakin' fantastic as Harley Quinn. This take isn't 100% screen-accurate (it was hard to see what the leg tattoos said in pre-release pictures), but I still enjoy this illustration. As with the other recent posts, this Harley was drawn on paper, and inked and colored digitally.

After Harley and Ivy, I decided to round out the Gotham City Sirens with Catwoman. I opted for a version of the modern costume, but with the thigh-high boots. There was no real reason behind that. As with Ivy and Harley, she was drawn freehand on paper, and digitally inked and colored.

Poison Ivy

After I finished Harley Quinn, I thought it would be fun to tackle some other characters. Harley's BFF Pamela Isley seemed like a natural fit. Unlike Harley, who was largely done in a "classic" costume, I went with her New Batman Adventures look, and added the Arkham-style vines since I like that look for Ivy.

Classic Harley Quinn

Classic Harley Quinn I drew some time last year. I really enjoyed working on this one, and she remains a favorite. Drawn freehand with pencil, and digitally inked and colored.
